Self-represented Appellant Pascal Redfern (Redfern) has moved for an extension of the time to file the transcripts, to compel the court reporter to produce the transcripts and informs the Court that he will be filing a separate motion for an extension of time to file his opening brief.
It appears that communication problems between Court Reporter Cerese Parker and Redfern have resulted in a delay in producing and filing the transcripts. Redfern acknowledges responsibility to pay for the transcripts as soon as he is notified of the estimated cost.
IT IS ORDERED that a 4 5-day extension of time within which the transcripts must be produced and filed is GRANTED. To facilitate preparation of the transcripts, the Clerk of this Court is directed to return the District Court file to Clerk of Court. The transcripts and District Court record must be filed with the Clerk of this Court on or before September 3, 2013.
IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that the remaining motions are denied. No separate motion for an extension of time to file an opening brief is necessary at this time. Once the transcripts are filed, the Clerk will notify Redfern that the opening brief is due within 30 days.
