PETER CLIFTON NORTHCUTT, Defendant and Appellant.

ORDER

Notice of appeal was filed in this matter on January 22, 2014. Penelope S. Strong, counsel for Appellant Peter Clifton Northcutt, has filed a motion for an order appointing the Appellate Defenders Office to represent Northcutt.

Additionally, Strong may wish to move to be allowed to withdraw as Northcutt's counsel, pursuant to § 37-61-403, MCA.

IT IS ORDERED that Strong's motion for appointment of the Appellate Defenders Office is GRANTED.

The Office of Appellate Defender shall have 30 days from the date of this Order within which to file either a Notice of Appearance or a motion to rescind this Order appointing counsel. In the event the Appellant qualifies for appointed counsel, the Office of Appellate Defender shall immediately order any necessary transcripts not already ordered.

The Clerk of Court is directed to provide copies of this Order to Penelope S. Strong, the Office of Appellate Defender, the Attorney General's Office, and Peter Clifton Northcutt personally.
