Haagenson v. State

Supreme Court of Montana

February 14, 2014

JAY DEE HAAGENSON, Petitioner and Appellant,
v.
STATE OF MONTANA, Respondent and Appellee.

ORDER

Rule 10(4) of the Montana Rules of Appellate Procedure requires papers presented for filing with this Court to contain a certificate of service in the form of a statement of the date and manner of service and of the names and addresses of the persons served, certified by the person who made service. Appellant, who is self-represented, filed an Appellant's Brief on February 14, 2014. Appellant provided a certificate of service with the brief, but the certificate of service is not signed and dated. Therefore,

IT IS ORDERED that within 20 days of the date of this Order, Appellant shall file a signed and dated certificate of service, reflecting the date on which Appellant served the Appellant's Brief on the Attorney General and on the Cascade County Attorney.

IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that the times for any subsequent briefing contained in M. R. App. P. 13 shall run from the date on which Appellant's signed and dated certificate of service is filed in the Clerk's office.

The Clerk is directed to mail a true copy of this Order to Appellant, to the Attorney General, and to the Cascade County Attorney.
