IN RE THE MONTANA REPORTS

ORDER

Section 3-2-603, MCA, provides that reported decisions of the Montana Supreme Court must be made under the Court's supervision. The decisions of this Court have long been published in volumes known as the Montana Reports. On June 15, 1992, pursuant to § 3-2-603, MCA, the Court issued an order designating Shauna Thomas, then doing business as State Reporter Publishing Company, as the official reporter for decisions of the Montana Supreme Court, in the Montana Reports.

Since 2004, and without further order of this Court, the Montana Reports have been published by LexisNexis, where Thomas was, until recently, employed. LexisNexis has asked the Court to continue to recognize the Montana Reports that it publishes as the official reports of Montana Supreme Court decisions.

The Court thanks Shauna Thomas for her years of dedicated service as the official reporter for its decisions.

IT IS NOW ORDERED that the Montana State Law Librarian, Lisa Mecklenberg-Jackson, is designated as the official reporter for decisions of the Montana Supreme Court. Further, until further order of this Court, the Montana Reports published by LexisNexis shall be the official reports of the decisions of the Montana Supreme Court.

The Clerk is directed to provide copies of this Order to Shauna Thomas, LexisNexis, and Lisa Mecklenberg-Jackson.
